It’s not as big a fight as Groves vs Eubank...don’t think it’d make that much over here...it’s just a routine defence other than it being in the WBSS, means nothing to casuals...

Ridiculous statement. With the right promotion this is absolutely huge and it’s far from a routine defence.

100% agree. Plus its a fight between two very good skilled boxers, which is not the case when Eubank fights.

I mean the Saulerlands and the WBSS. Not the Saudi funding an event!

Groves is best known for being the only man in history to be cobrad twice and Callum Smith is UNknown. This fight is casual kryptonite.

Which is why the casuals have no interest. Young CHRIS attracts casuals like tramps to hot chips

I dont think he is as big with casuels as is made out. Take out his fights v big names Saunders and Groves and you will see he is not a big ticket seller.

This particular WBSS tourney had turd in it from the start, most fights were turd and the shambolic rules changing for the final has resulted in loss of interest.

The fact that the final is now in the land of hand choppers really is the icing on the cake.

No, a few bigger, Frampton, Warrington and Groves come straight to mind (their bigger ticket sellers).

The fact is, the two times that Eubank has stepped up to world level, he’s come up short so his achievements are no better than the likes of Ryder & Martin Murray. However, he has a bigger profile than them and that’s because he shares his dad’s name. The sport is better for him though, because he is a very entertaining fighter to watch.
