You can saw it at the public workout that Parker is slightly bigger than vs Joshua. He looked much more like a HW now and compact. Looks good. Whyte even heavier than vs Browne....
At least it means there'll be less moving around and more action. So many fights have been said to be 'scraps' and 'tear-ups' in the build ups, but they hardly ever end that way. Okolie-Chamberlain comes to mind as a recent example of that. This time, it can't possibly be a stinker. They have to go to war because they can't run.
At almost 260 its hard to see how Whyte will keep up with Parker. Maybe hes planning compact tight come forward assualt ala Takam/Ruiz, but Parker will be wise to it. After frustrating and eventually picking off Whyte, Parker by late ko.
At those weights I have zero interest in watching this fight. Both Parker and Whyte should have a max weight of 235 lbs.
Whyte has been trying to goad Parker to stand his ground and trade, and Parker said he would. He shouldn't and I hope he was bluffing...
For better or for worse, Whytes increase in weight looks 99% muscle to me (he has never been ripped). Hearn sounded very unimpressed but I would hope this is by design from Team Whyte. His conditioning will be tested tomorrow no doubt. To maintain this kind of weight these boys must consume so many calories given how active they are fighting and investment in training!
Whyte knows that he needs the additional power in this fight so has been hitting the weights and upped his calorie intake. Once Parker feels his power early on it’s going to be a comfortable win for Whyte. Everyone can see that Parker will end up on the back foot circling Whyte looking to counter. Whyte will control the centre and out work Parker.
