H2h at their respective weights i give monzon the slight edge because i rate him 1 h2h at mw , you can argue only about hagler putting on him . i think that whitaker and mayweather beat duran at 135. Anyway These fights never happened and never will so it about opinions

 

I'd have SRR even at 160. Monzon would be automatic top 5. There's been a lot of great middles. I wouldn't back anyone to beat Duran at 135 tho there's a couple that may or may not turn the trick. I'd have Duran and Monzon close H2H but Duran ahead. I think Monzon might have trouble with top slicksters tho middleweight isn't historically overly stacked with them.

 

Ali has better wins than Duran in the 1970's over ranked opposition.

Ali's heavyweight era is the best of it's division in the 1970's, Ali post Prime came out on top and fought everybody.

Ali's resume over ranked contenders in that era and since then is the best thus he is the best fighter of the 1970's.

Name me a win from Monzon and Duran in that decade that is better than Rumble in the Jungle?
