Has this one been done already? Should the unthinkable happen and both Joshua and Wilder lose and the 2 victors think oh well we will just do what they were struggling to do and unify the division. What happens? I was all set to say Povetkin smashes Breazeale apart but does he? Breazeale is better than David Price right? But Price is better at throwing his hands and caught Povetkin a couple of times, other than that Povetkin was in full control.
Dominic Brezeale is arguably just FAR TOO BIG in size for Povetkin. Far too tough, far too durable and far too powerful. Povetkin is obviously more skilled, but that doesn't matter against a foe who is that much bigger in size, greater in physical strength, greater in punching power and that durable. It's close to a mismatch at this stage in their respective careers. One must question if Povetkin can even hurt Brezeale, never mind KO him. Considering how weak and powerless he's looked in his recent fights. And the astronomical KO percentage difference makes this an even scarier mismatch against Povetkin if it already wasn't one with the age and size disadvantage that Povetkin already faces.
Would be a seismic shift in the landscape of the division if this scenario would play out. But can't see any reason why either wouldn't want to unify, the money would be good, neither have ever shown any real aversion to fighting the best. So I could see it happen if the unthinkable happened. As to who would win. Povetkin has to be favourite, he's the more seasoned, proven and while Breazeale would of beaten Wilder, Povetkin would of beaten Joshua which is the more impressive win. Breazeale's defence is his chin, he's far too easy to hit, but that's the danger with Breazeale, he poses such a big and tempting target but the Mansour and Ugonoh fight's proved you can't just throw wildly at Breazeale, he's very dangerous and can turn the fight his way very quickly. Povetkin needs to either take him out quickly or find a way to prevent him coming forward that doesn't just involve fighting fire with fire because if that's all Povetkin brings he could get burned. I still favour Povetkin to grind Breazeale down but wouldn't be surprised to see Breazeale have his moments and hurt Povetkin more than once.
The Russian drug cheat should win easy. You shouldn’t be able to fight for a title for atleast 3 years if you test positive at all. That would really deter mofos from cheating on top of the 6 month bans
If anyone can pull up that sasha flop job vs Magick Wlad That & I had Huck beating Povetkin. Povetkin should have boiled down to cruiser weight. Could have been unified champ
If Povetkin KO's Breazele it'd be absolutely brutal. I think Povetkin-Breazele is just too brutal of a fight would never get made. Breazele is clearly less technical but he can take a punch & tower Sasha. Whoever loses that fight might die, fight never gets made. Shades of rocky vs Drago
Breazeale would destroy povetkin. Look Aj vs povetkin is a big enough mismatch and yes I know Aj destroyed DM but styles still make fights and DM povetkin is a even larger mismatch due to the difference in durability, like one said and that massive size difference. Povetkin can't compete at hw vs any competent fighters, that's just how it is. Size MATTERS
