Probably, but then people said the same about Wilder's wild swings when he fought Ortiz.

Whyte I think would be competitive but eventually he'll get timed. Ortiz isn't the athlete Parker is but he's far more skilled and has a better ring IQ.

Fun fact, Wilder would literally kill Whyte.

And Matchroom casuals expect Deontay Wilder to box Joshua in London.

Yeah he does all the tools physically but he doesn’t have the stamina and concentration to maintain it over 12 rounds. Kinda like a James Degale.

    Ian John-Lewis was the difference.

He let Whyte get away with lots of dirty tactics, including the nasty headbutt that turned the fight around. And he called the false knockdown.

I knew Parker would be fighting two men in the ring when I first heard John-Lewis would be working the fight. He's the worst ref in the business, except perhaps for Lawrence Cole.

Parker should have gotten a draw but he knew what he signed up for.
Also like Gassiev he was way too happy about losing, some of these guys are too nice for boxing.

Whyte's dirty tactics clearly sapped a lot of the energy from Parker. The first KD was a headbutt or head clash and the ref unquestionably should've deducted points from Whyte. It was a really good fight and both showed toughness and heart to hang in there after being hurt but home advantage and all the perks that accompany it was a huge factor tonight. If the ref played fair Parker would've won.

If you're going to fight against someone like Whyte in their backgarden you have to be ready for that. You have to have more than hoping the ref will intervene when there's no sign they will.

Parker should have been able to win that, but his heart wasn't in it.

Boxing becoming WWE, replace McMahon with Hearn, Golden Boy, ROC Nation etc.

The fans are too stupid to believe it's not staged. Ignorance is bliss. .. .. ..

tbh Parker didn't look like a great athlete out there today. He looked gassed after the first half of the fight. His only way coming back into the fight in the last three rounds was due to Whyte being even more exhausted.

Compare Ortiz in Rd 8/9/10 vs Wilder with Parker today, i doubt Parker looked much better and Wilder is definitely hitting much harder than Whyte although Wilder isn't working a lot to the body to slow his opponents down

Wilder would mop the floor with any of the heavyweights who fought tonight as much as I hate to admit it. I think AJ has what it takes to beat him clean but I wouldn't rule out shenanigans in his favor.
