I see Loma outboxing Mikey comfortably. Loma does everything better but Mikey has better power. I would not be surprised if Mikey pulls a "nomas" Tonight, Mikey did what he was supposed to do but he is a fighter who can be outboxed. For all the flack we give Crawford for not beating an A-level fighter, Mikey has not proven to be anything special either. Like I said Loma TKO or wide UD.

No chance Loma takes it wide UD. It'd be close at best.

These threads always kind of puzzle me after a good performance from a boxer. So Mikey just put on a show against a tall, awkward to fight guy and that somehow leads you to conclusion that he loses to Loma.. What holes did Mikey show in his game tonight that Loma could exploit?

Loma by wide UD...unless Mikey proves willing to take chances by letting his hands go in between Loma’s combinations.

I think Mikey has a decent chance against Lomachenko, but virtually no chance against Spence.

Beats loma by tko but gets beaten into submission by Spence. Loma is literally on Linares level but just a little more durable.

MG is levels above that crowd

Same. Mikey has pretty good technique, power and timing, I can see him catching Loma.

Loma is faster, better footwork, defense, movement, has better hand speed, creates angles better, and he moves his head a lot better than Easter. Like I said wide UD. I'm not sure if Mikey would've beaten Linares.

But it seems that he personally would rather lose to Spence than to Loma. That loss (to Errol Spence Jr.) would be much easier to explain ("too big, blah-blah...).

Just because you're "seeing it" or wishing it doesn't mean it'll ever happen. If loma and Mikey fight that's such a easy pick AND IT AIN'T GONNA BE FOR LOMA

Garcia vs Loma is a 50/50 fight at 135.. Let’s not forget Linares caught Loma unbalanced and before the stoppage the fight was even.. Loma has the speed advantage by far but he leaves himself in bad positions on occasions (like Sergio used to) and at 135 he’s really pushing himself physically.. Garcia would have a huge power advantage against a much smaller Loma and is very technically sound.. Both guys are great fighters and I have Loma #1 P4P with Mikey at #6.. this is a 50/50 fight at 135 as Spence said there are weight classes for a reason and Loma is maxed out at 135 Mikey at 140

Yeah, it would be easier to "write off", but at what cost? Wasn't that Brook's strategy when he challenged Golovkin? How did that work out?

And incidentally, the case you make that maybe he feels he has more to lose losing to Lomachenko than he does losing to Spence - it's valid, but I'm not sure it's a driving factor. In some ways, Spence's style IS more favorable for Mikey - but I don't think Mikey (or Lomachenko) belong at 147. I think neither would be overly effective there.

It would be easier to explain but there's a lower chance that he can win it and it would most likely end with him being KTFO. Don't think Mikey is really taking the easy way out there.
