By hook or by crook, Hearn is gonna **** up the significance of AJ-Wilder. Povetkin and Usyk, probably a rematch with Whyte or a fight with Ortiz along the way, no way is AJ not going to pick up a loss, somewhere along the way.
Nah Usyk would UD him if he can’t take the leather being thrown at him Hearn is gonna make atleast two fights before that or Wilder
By hook or by crook Wilder is guna **** up the significance of AJ-Wilder. Im hoping that was a tongue in cheek comment from you CST cuz it read to me like Joshua is guna spoil the Wilder fight because hes taking on tough opposition instead and may lose?
Not a chance. It's either whyte, miller or pulev. No way is Eddie going let a true champion in their prime anywhere near Jenner.
Sure he is, come on, cut the ****, Hearn is a scumbag and is protecting AJ, this isn't some nationalistic thing with me, its just the reality, maybe Wilder pulled a shenanigan or two, but that was usually due to some asinine stipulation Hearn tried to throw up as a roadblock to begin with. Haymon and Hearn are both scumbags, but Hearn at the moment is outflanking everyone in that department.
Joshua would ktfo Usyk. He'd have nothing to worry about and be able to go full seek and destroy mode. Can't wait till that ugly looking mofo gets kod
This would be a terrible mismatch. The only problems AJ has are related to stamina. Usyk wouldn't put enough pressure on him to make this an issue, which means AJ can pick and choose when he is feeling ready to take Usyk out. As I said, I was wrong about Gassiev beating Usyk, but there is no way Usyk threatens AJ in any way. AJ by KO.
I think Usyk is one of the very best boxers in the sport. I'd love to see him take on a top 10 HW before thrusting himself into challenging the top guys in the division. Skills wise, he's better than everyone at HW and his punch output is shocking to see from a man his size. But some of those boys- specifically Wilder and Joshua- are REALLY big- and while neither man has anywhere near the skills that Usyk has, they only need one flush shot to end a fight. Usyk's footwork and handspeed would make him a live dog against either of them, but I'm still concerned about the size disadvantage. At least Wilder wouldn't outweigh him by a considerable amount; Joshua however would probably be around 25-30 lbs heavier than him on fight night which might be too much even for someone as gifted as Usyk.
Hearn is a slimey promoter and is saying this stuff to put the pressure on Deontay Wilder to sign a crappy contract that pays him as little as he can possibly get away with. Id be angry if that was something new but its something thats been happening for many many years. The big American promoters were absolutly ruthless when they had all the power over Boxers from anywhere else. Thing is the naysayers said Hearn wouldnt put AJ in with Whyte, Wlad or Povetkin and now he wont put him in with Wilder, theres a signed contract heading to Wilder, and now they wont put him in with Uysk. I think Eddie would. I do feel he kept him away from Ortiz for a spell but Eddie is again far from the 1st promoter to of done that, again weve argued many many times on here about other fighters doing it. But apart from him at a time when AJ was still making alot of mistakes, he doesnt seem to of been protected from anybody. If Eddie is intersted in Uysk v AJ then who am i to not believe it is something he will look in to.
Agreed. It doesn't stack up. Usyk has to fight Bellew first which would mean that his first fight at heavyweight would be AJ. His management would be have to be crazy. May just be additional leverage in a wilder negotiation or a way of building Usyk awareness amongst uk fans, can't see him taking that April date either way.
As you said you were wrong , coz yksab. AJ is a poor boxer and poor stamina is not the only symptom, he’s also flatfooted, stiff ,robotic and weak chinned . He’s a very poor man’s wlad fighting weaker competition than wlad did . Usyk lacks power and also is undersized as a heavyweight, but he is a very good skilled boxer and if they will ever fight, there’s a good chance Usyk will simply UD british stiff, but I don’t think hearn/aj will take this fight as risk fighting Usyk by far outweights reward
The problem Usyk has, though, is his chin is nothing special. In a previous fight, I remember him looking as though he was going to quit from punches that did not appear that hard. The fight could have gone either way. This is why I thought Gassiev would stop him. Usyk's chin is suspect, in my opinion.
