Totally agree. I normally support ppv events but was unhappy with this one as i thought it wasnt worth it. It certainly was worth it so shows what i know lol

Great couple of fights last night. Good discussion on here about the merits of PPV, some for and some against it.

I personally believe last night's fights were never PPV material. I said in a previous thread but i hark back to the glory days of about 6-8 years ago when you had a British or European title fight on Sky twice a month. They were always epic fights.

50/50 fights don't 'need' to be PPV, I reject that notion. But I didn't buy the card myself, I went to the pub to watch it.

Here's the point I wanted to make before rambling on, if last night's fights turned out like Audley Harrison v Danny Williams, we would all be singing from the same hymn sheet. 50/50 fights don't always deliver.

£20 is not a lot of money but then neither is £40 imo.
Let’s make every show £40 PPV, hopefully they will turn out to be epic shows like last night. No more boxing from your £60+ a month sky subscription.

    Ok I’m being sarcastic....

Didn’t buy last nights PPV. On paper it was a poor card, turned out to be great fights (haven’t watched them yet) but it still imo wasn’t PPV. If you don’t draw the line it will be PPV every other show.

Damn, if I was in your position in that last 30 seconds I would have been convinced it was going to happen.

Whyte was one solid dig away from going in my opinion, unlucky Mr T, very very close to winning.

I was one of the people hammering this card for being PPV, it turned out to be throughly entertaining.

Chisora Vs Takam was incredible, I didn't think it would be like that, no way, I was sure Delboy was done, it was a truly Heavyweight great fight.

I still think on paper it wasn't a PPV event but it turned out to be a very good nights boxing.

I have no complaints this morning.

The UK is the home of boxing, it really it, the crowds, the numbers, the entertainment, we should all be loving this and e very proud as Brits because it won't last forever but we are Number 1 right now.

This is the place to be if you fight or love boxing.

How ? The revenue is made through PPV, on Saturday Fight Night Cards Sky don't make any money which is why they give low rights fees to Hearn.

That is the point - people already pay subscriptions for Sky Sports and BT Sports including boxing yet still get fleeced PPV money on top

This Juergen is boring isn’t he. Spends most days complaining about PPV and changing the names of people like a school kid. Needs to get a life and a hobby.
