Thats the one that should be made next with the winner guaranteed a title shot. I’d go with Ortiz in that one.

Bad matchup for WHyte who only knows how to fight coming forward. His sloppy style is tailored made for someone like Ortiz, who can counter him all night long in that matchup.

Also, Ortiz is arguably the bigger puncher of the 2. There could be some action packed moments in the fight but I'd imagine Ortiz would have him out of there inside 7 or 8 rounds. Dillian's only hope is Ortiz starts to show his age (whatever that is) in the ring if they fought. He's too experienced and technically sound for someone like Whyte.

Only a few months ago Whyte was supposed to be in mandatory position until WBC did their thing

Ortiz KO via uppercut, but how many more hoops does Whyte have to jump through?

IDC what anybody else says, Whyte has done more than enough to earn a title shot already. The WBC have strung him along while handing out title shots like candy to less deserving fighters.

I agree with this. He's the #1 contender for the WBC so I'd like to see him get a shot at Wilder. He's also the # 1 contender now with I believe the WBO so he's a worthy candidate for a Joshua rematch. I still believe he gets stopped by both men, but his win over Parker has solidified him as a top 5 HW in the division.

Aside from the fight with Parker, he hasn't done that much since getting knocked out a few years ago by AJ. Beating Chisora in a fight that could've gone either way and Lucas Browne who was nothing more than cannon fodder doesn't add greatly to his resume. His win over Parker is the only reason he's deserving of a fight with either WIlder or AJ, nothing before that.

If he wants to truly test his mettle and be seen as a top 3 HW, he should go ahead and fight Ortiz. Beating him would solidify him at the very top of the pecking order.

If Ortiz Whyte got made I would bet real money via Venmo to anyone the old man takes him out in 9. Everytime I bring this fight up, matchroom fans have excuses.

Ortiz is too good right now...it would be a good fight though!

Whyte could win after the 6th round but he's a few fights away .

You think fighting Lucas Browne is have to go through a hoop?

    It's stepping on the downtrodden.

Whyte could have had his title shot a long time ago if he decided to fight Ortiz for the eliminator instead he chose to fight Parker.

While Whyte has gas in his tank nobody is blowing him away..Parkers tough, but you could see the roughness melting him last night with Whyte..I wanted Parker to win, but he only comeback into the fight because Whyte was spent. Whyte imo could very possibly beat either Wilder or Joshua. He'll lay it all on the line more than those two..I don't know what to say with Parker, I think what most said was true, he was maybe a little concussed from the head colliding. He looked to be ripping Whyte with power and speed before that, some wicked body shots sinking in

Whyte did his thing by avoiding Ortiz in order to fight Parker.

Yes and we always know their moves before they do em,so obvious Breazeale was gonna pop up just like Stiverne.
I’ve gone off AJ but at least he has to face his true mandatories like Pulev(pulled out)Parker and now Povetkin so by the same token Wilder should be fighting the next best in Whyte or else what’s the point.

Whyte ducked Ortiz to fight Parker, who isn't highly rated by the WBC. That's the singular reason why he isn't in line for a title shot.
