Why is Mikey Garcia fat?

    Hes fighting at 135 pounds. It's very weird and rare to see a fat champion in the lower weight classes. Anybody who's fat below 175 or 200 is really rare.

    Why is he fat? Maybe his diet is horrible.

    Although the Robert Garcia Academy/Eduardo Garcia team has hosted many talented fighters, it hasn't produced a lot of ripped physical specimens: Brandon Rios, Kelly Pavlik, Mikey, Fernando Vargas. Even Nonito Garcia was weirdly skinny/fat when he was at super bantamweight.

    Mia St. John was Robert's only fighter who had a great physique.

    Well considering the properties of this 'tainted' meat include maintaining muscle to weight whilst trimming down it sounds like he could do with a couple of porterhouses down Mexico way.

    I would assume thats the issue.
    I grew up on a high carb diet and no matter how hard i worked out, the scale would not shift.
    I was never full so i ate a ton. Especially when working out really hard.
