Parker & his camp are fools if they take that one next. I've got Jennings. With two or three wins under his belt, I've got Parker.
I still favour Parker but don't think it's an easy fight for Parker right now, mentally after 2 back to back losses he's probably vulnerable. Not sure Jennings has the power to keep Parker on the back foot consistently and you have to do that to shut down Parker's offence. Maybe he can out box Parker but inviting Parker to come forward isn't wise. Parker should forget about a fight at this level right now, he really needs to rebuild after the crushing Whyte loss. He needs to get a new trainer, he needs to retool, because now people have figured him out he won't have any easy fights at the top level.
Parker can't convincingly win against anyone, not against Ruiz jr, Takam or Hughie Fury. Every fight against a Top 15 fighter is a pick em fight and a possible snoozefest, Parker is extremely frustrating to look at, he smiles when he shouldn't and he makes the impression of being slow-witted, he has no ring intelligence, he is too passive and he doesn't know when to switch from defense to offense. Parker is physically extremely talented, he has fast hands, good fundamentals and is very durable but he is mentally not capable of using his talents properly. I like Jennings chances in this matchup.
Yeah, I think he's got problems. He's let himself down. But he took to the ring with both of them and after suffering a left-hook/straightening head-butt combo, some low blows, and surviving one of the heavier knockdowns of the year so far, he went to war in the twelfth against Whyte. I think maybe what you meant was that he's come up a bit short for heart, but the way you put it was way harsh. Besides, i'm not sure Jennings is a fight he'd need loads of heart to win. I don't think he's a natural fighter though. I think that's been settled now.
