Arum: Mikey is afraid of fighting Loma

If Mikey really left Arum for business reasons, I don't see how he should allow an old grudge to interfere with the Lomachenko business deal. I like his attitude to challenge big names, but Spence is all wrong for him, and it's all wrong for boxing, once again large weight disparity tilting the odds too much to have more than one outcome.

- Spence should shut the hell up and face Crawford since Danny and Keith are unavailable
- Mikey should also fight the best in his division, so should Lomachenko
- Pac should have a farewell fight but if really wants a name, fight a name of a division he's planning to fight at, Mikey at 140 (who fought recently there) or Crawford at 147 (must less damage to Pac's brain compared to Spence, a fight impossible to make anyway)

I would watch but have issues with Pac-Loma and Garcia-Spence when we could have two of the following instead: Loma-Garcia, Garcia-Pac, Crawford-Pac, Crawford-Spence

 

Mikey is a shady guy. Everyone knows that he was in line for Pacquiao, Lomachenko, or Crawford (or all three).

Mikey started calling them out AFTER he left Top Rank.

 

The Mikey-Loma fight is supposed to be next year, both camps have hinted. Arum is just doing his job in creating interest and getting a hesitant Mikey to the table.

If you believe Mikey will fight Spence, you will believe anything.

 

Arum has no problem making Lomachenko-Garcia. The only guy Arum will never work with again is Cotto.

 

Yeah well winner of Porter-Garcia is one Porter-Garcia fight away. Crawford is available right now, go figure.

 

Mikey had 2 1/2 years when he could have fought Crawford at 140, a weight that is better for Mikey than 147. Why didn't it happen? What makes you think Mikey would want the fight now at 147? Even Danny Garcia said Mikey's talk about Spence is just yapping and that the fight with Spence won't happen. Crawford is not the one holding back a bout with Mikey.

 

What Arum says must be taken with a grain of salt.

Absolutely opposite. Team loma wants nothing to do with Garcia. Linares and loma both chose the less dangerous fight.
You’ll know if loma doesn’t sign next vs pac.
If loma signs vs pac then that would prove that his team will fight anybody. That is why I love the fact that pac called their bluff about the 135.
