    Crazy

    Shawn was 17

    At 165...

People forget Shawn started his pro career at 160

Its crazy not even cause of the size BUT the style. One would think Usyk style would have done very well against Shawn in the AMs...

I doubt a 18/19yo Usyk already has fully developed his style ...

How? They weighed the same back then. Porter also beat Andrade and Jacobs.

It's not crazy at all, Porter was a very good amateur, started boxing at the age of 4 whereas Usyk didn't start till he was 15, and it was down at 165. Usyk was at his best up at HW in the ams.

    Styles make fights.

It's very plausible an underdeveloped Usyk lost to a more developed Porter.

I think you're right that he beat Andrade and Jacobs who were the two most highly regarded AM's in their age group and weight class and arguably the two most accomplished. No small feat for Porter.

Side note: when Porter and Usyk fought they were both 17 years old or around that, so Usyk had just taken up the sport two to three years earlier. Porter started somewhere between 4-6 years old.

To be fair the fight happened in the usa so its quiet possible porter left the ring on a stretcher but was declared the wineer anyway
