I'd be mad too if I'd have spent literally years undermining the legacy/foundations of a division you are now purporting to be a fan of..

While waiting you can reminisce about the great heavyweight era in the 2000s and early 2010s where guys like John Ruiz, Samuel Peter, Sultan Ibragimov and Eddie Chambers were world beaters but i doubt you would watch any of their fights again, i wouldn't.

The smaller the fighter the more pleasing they look to the eye. This should be obvious. If you there are fighters without 1/100th the talent or skills of a AJ or Fury yet they "look" in to the naked and very clueless eyes far more talented.

It's all illusions, you'll learn once you understand what you're evening watching now much of what you're seeing is a lie

    No.

    No.

Tyson Fury barely made it past Sefer Seferi

Except, you know, WLAD, who doesn't even appear on this list but who was boxing at the time.

    No.

Miller actually got beaten up by the 40something year shot old version of THIS guy in 2013 and then again in 2014:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirko_Cro_Cop

and he had been already fighting for 10 years in 2004.

In no universe is this heavyweight era stronger.

That's a different argument. I find some of the heavyweights right now quite entertaining, and that goes for Wilder too, but frankly there's nobody Wilder beat that I could not see Sam Peter KTFO either.

    World beaters? No.

Dillian Whyte & Bermaine Stiverne... A doper & snoop dogs pregnant baby mama!

Prime Byrd & Haye would beat both. So would Peter..

Luis Ortiz? The guy looks so old my fiance thought Riddock Bowe was making a comeback!! Juiced to the gills too..

2008 blows 2018 right out of the water

Sam Peter would have been beaten to a pulp by Luis Ortiz, he was Chisora with more power but less chin, that's
what he really was, Wilder would have knocked him 10 times harder than Helenius ever could.

Wilder only faced Ortiz because Ortiz was 100 years old. Wilder isn't difficult to hit and Peter's chin was just fine. He'd have brutally destroyed Bambi.

Ortiz could have been 200 years old and he still would have beaten a plodder without ring iq like Samuel Peter
from pillar to post, guy could only fight one way and that was coming forward.

He was lucky Wlad wasn't a counterpuncher in 2005, he would run right into the knife against a guy like Ortiz.
Wilder would have done exactly the same with him as he did with Bermane Stiverne in their first fight.

Stop it, right now 2018 is great. Maybe we're a little top heavy like every single great era had been.

I'd put our top 5 vs any era ever and know without a question the era wins every single tourney styles event.. Of course there would be many different results to the same fights because great fighters find ways to win.

But this current era of the hw would be too tough a match up for any other era's top 5. This is still a subjective topic but it's clear why they'd consistently come out on top.

Yet we have clowns on here that claim they're weak because they obviously don't know any better.

I don't know which era is best, in terms of quality, probably be one of those questions which will be easier to answer in another 10 or 15 years time, and even then you'll still never have a definitive answer, but I do think this era is already more interesting.
