Lopez-Gamboa was supposed to happen after Lopez fought Salido, but Salido stopped his ass and derailed plans especially since Lopez tried to avenge his defeat and ended up getting KO'd again. Up until Salido, Lopez had fought mostly meh competition and the Salido victory was supposed to push the Gamboa showdown to new heights because Gamboa schooled Salido.
