The Bowe types? 6'5 235 pound boxer punchers with KO power in both hands???

I wouldn't go to the bank with that. It's probably the opposite.

The 5th Ward in Houston is / was a pretty rough area. Houston's fifth ward is a historically black neighborhood just north of downtown's east side. To most people who live in Houston, the Fifth Ward is a ghetto, a high-crime, low income neighborhood, a place to be avoided. The Fifth Ward has high crime and drugs. That's true and it's what the Fifth Ward is definitely known for. Oil Refinery corridor is close by also. When Foreman was there, it was back in the mid-60's.

The Foreman mythology fairy dust descends again.
Fact .Bowe was better than Lyle and Lyle came within a whisker of beating prime GF.
Fact .Bowe demonstrated he had more than a plan A on many occasions, GF never did.
Fact Prime GF couldnt get Jimmy Young outta there , so why Bowe ?
Bowe wasn't a small heavy like Frazier nor would he be intimidated like Norton, the 2 wins that created GF the monster.
Bowe was as durable as the day is long, stamina to burn, big strong powerful and a great infighter, everything GF failed to demonstrate v Ali Young etc.

Hard to gauge how durable he is given he didn't face punchers. The Golota fights suggest his punch resistance was somewhat lacking.

George said there was some really big Bad Bass, that ran the Fifth Ward area, that even he didn't mess with.

Great point..... I think some things have improved, since George was brawling in the streets back in the mid-60's.

I agree with much of what you say about Bowe. He had talent, size etc. I don't know that he wouldn't be intimidated though. I don't know that he could hold it together mentally.

Thats his fault. He left questions unanswered. Ducked Lewis and joined the Marines in mid career

Peak v peak I don't think Bowe would be intimidated, he seemed confident and intelligent. His demise was a strange one. Poor management ? Choice of fights ? The underestimated effects of the Holyfield trilogy ? Bad discipline ? Family issues ? Combo of all ?

I don't think he'd be intimidated either. I question if he can take Foreman's punching power. If he can't, all the skill in the world won't help him when he gets hit.
