Does anyone know anything about Martin, say we put the AJ defeat down to undoubted nerves and the occasion is there anything about him that would suggest he could beat a Spilka or in this case Kownacki?
For the record before he fought AJ I said that I couldn’t find anything on him that suggested he could challenge AJ as I’m sure his record was full of unranked(possibly)duffers.
I’d love it if Martin proved me wrong but I have Kownacki by knockout in less than five.

I see what you're saying, Martin-Spzilka is a hard fight to gauge. I start to think a fighter like Dom Breazele would eventually break Martin down but then again look how movement from Old man Molina caused Bearzill issues. Martin is a wild card this fight against Kownacki is 50/50 imo. If you look into the curious case of Charles Martin, you'll see the man clearly sold his soul. A crafty southpaw who started boxing late. If Kownacki wants to get a title shot he better stop Martin. Should be a competitive fight. I question both fighter's gas tanks so it should be a barn burner

You'd expect Kownacki by stoppage in the first half of the fight, but for me the jury is still out on Martin.

Both look like untrained novices at times, their technique is so bad. But it should be a competitive fight if not a pretty one to watch.

Kownacki has the best genuine win on his record with Szplika, that trumps and injury win over Glazkov in my opinion. But Kownacki looked terrible when showing up 18lbs heavier in his next fight vs Kiladze.

So I think it will come down to which version of Kownacki shows up, one at a decent weight KO's Martin, one showing up looking like he took nutritional advice from Andy Ruiz probably gets stopped, he's awfully easy to hit and Martin has some power.

I fee like Martin is going to school him.

First of all... Charles Martin became champ (formerly) by absolute luck, go watch the fight. Secondly, he went of the cliff after AJ fight, depression, drugs, loss of motivation, wasted his fight purse, made some cash and thought eff "I'm done, bye bye boxing".

So no, I wouldn't get your hopes up about charles marting, hes another (extreme case) of tyson fury walking away and getting depressed. You just dont come back that easily.

Will have to wait and see with Martin as i think there's a possibility he just got unlucky vs AJ and didn't have time to get into the fight.

    Why?

There's been plenty of examples of guys getting clipped early and taken out who were much better than that would indicate.

Your knowledge of the sport is ****ing laughable

This should be good. It seems all people know of Martin is that Joshua fight. Well that aside he isnt an awful fighter and his fights are not the worst to watch. Kownacki can box a bit aswell as looking to land his power so doesnt just swing he does look to have some thought in his work.

Id prob go for the Pole to win but if Martin has got his head on and straight hes talented, hits hard enough and this could be a really good fight. At worst it would be OK.
