Usyk and Gassiev made $800k a piece, which is very good money for the cruiserweight division, but Gvozdyk at 175 will earn about the same as Usyk and Gassiev did in their match as a mandatory against Stevenson. Ward most likely retired after getting spoiled by the Roc Nation money, which allowed him to earn 12.5 million (5 million & 6.5 million) for both Kovalev fights. This is all the more reason I hope Usyk and Bellew have a big fight in the UK, since knowing Bellew and Hearn they'd promote the fight to the hilt. If Usyk and Bellew have a fight that draws good money Ward would definitely fight the winner, which would be a heck of a fight.
