Wlad wasn't shot in the Fury OR Joshua fight. The term "shot" gets thrown around too much, Wlad wasn't at his best but he WAS still a force.

But this isn't about that, it's about where Fury is at, and he will NOT BE at his best by the end of the year. If he's at 70% that'll be good going.

WLAD was shot to bits going into the chinny robot bout to any man’s unbiased eye

Without a win in three years, grey haired, sporting the telltale saggy grandpa back, guy was a withered old man who never fought again

That he still managed to go life and death with and nearly stop Joshua speaks to Joshua’s level given an active VLAD fighting at home on a ten year winning streak couldn’t land a punch on Tyson fury two years prior.

Fury retired VLAD, AJs promoter thought he could whitewash it from history and convince the sky subscriber brains trust that aj was fighting old VLAD for all the marlbles. It apparently worked.

Zero chance is totally erroneous. I strongly suspect he'll lose, but zero chance is idiotic. Wilder has made struggles with mediocre boxers plenty of times, it's his power that bails him out.

Let's see how he looks against Pianeta before making any rash calls.

Are people having a go at Fury for taking this fight? Absolute thicks as per usual. Wherever Tyson Fury's name is mentioned, it's a guarantee a thick will be nearby criticising him.

Yes, the fight is a huge risk considering he's only back. But doesn't that only prove the man's bravery and greatness?

It's genuine madness, so unpredictable. And that's exactly why I love the man. He's only back five minutes, and he's put a stick of dynamite in the top of the heavyweight division. Making idiots of Hearn and AJ in the process. I sure missed the madman that is Tyson Fury.

Wilder may well land that big right hand. But my money is on big Tyson to do the unthinkable and win the WBC title in the states. And if he gets sparked first time around, he'll win the rematch. Then we'll have a trilogy. While AJ fights Chisora.

If you don't think that was a good performance from Wlad vs Joshua, I don't know what to say!
In the Joshua fight Wlad really turned up to win and gave it a tremendous effort. Light on his feet, fast, aggressive. Some say it was a career best. Faded a bit in the last third of the fight, but thats what happens when you're up against a younger man.
In the Fury fight he was much more hesitant to engage and hoped to coast to a home points decision. You can give Fury a lot of credit for that because his style is so awkward and he used his height and reach well. Maybe Wlad was expecting an easy win and was also distracted with wife issues so was less motivated. Who knows.
I believe he took the complacency lesson learned from the Fury fight and turned up better prepared for AJ.

... A career best from who? Wlad? If you mean Wlad put in a career best performance against AJ then I'm sorry but you're deluded.

Great fight, great effort by both men, but it was a win against an old inactive Wlad and that's all in my opinion. He wasn't shot by any means but he was nowhere near his peak either. Anybody that think he put in a career best performance against AJ really needs to have a word with themselves.

I honestly think Klitschko could come back and still be a top 5 world heavyweight even at his age. Could you really completely write him off against anybody? So you have to give both AJ and Fury huge credit for beating him. I’m not saying he was at his peak during these loses but he was still a great fighter.

Wlad - comfortably past his best but not shot. Please consider this matter closed.

Fury has zero chance against Wilder just like most people said he had zero chance going into the Wlad fight.

That’s a painful post to read. Grey haired shot old men with saggy grandpa backs without a win in three years do not put in a career best performance then never fight again. Ever.
History will teach us the guy who went life and death with that shell of an old Ukrainian ghost wasn’t that good to begin with. History won’t however remember the skatchroom spin which wooed the casual brains trust.

Why would you turn down the AJ fight for much more money at £15m and the chance to be undisputed HW champ to fight a risky fight?

Wilder's team must be adamant that Fury is no threat Wilder whats so ever.
