Think he's the studio guy, that's what he's been doing recently anyway.

'Iceman' John Scully was the best boxing analyst in all of boxing at one time, I wonder what happened to him.

Good. Thats who should be giving the ****ing commentary anyway, actual fighters. Krasnyyneck Jim Lampley will have to give boxing commentary for GBP in Mexico now.

As a CA native, I've always liked Andre. Followed him in the Olympics. I've was at his fights against Abraham and Rodriguez. I know the work he does in Oakland.

But I also know the image he likes to project and reality are more different than he'd care to admit.

We must agree to disagree here I'm sorry. I think Ward is the dirtiest fighter today. He NEVER legitimately beat Kovalev.

I'm not a blind fanboy. I have Kovalev winning the first fight. And in boxing, let's be honest the official judges score isn't the one that always matters.

The second fight....well the ref said Kovalev's trunks were high and the belt line was OK. Andre landed MOST of his shots there, but that final one was way low. It wasn't nearly as dirty of a fight as his detractors make it out to be, but he has to own a couple of low shots.

Regardless what Tony Weekes said The foul line is the fighter's navel ( as per Marquis of Queensbury rules) Unless Sergey Kovalev's navel is alongside his testes Ward landed at least 12 blows deliberately below the belt
Weekes & Ward should have been severely reprimanded it was BLATANT!!

Larry Marchent called it right you know?he was ringside at the first fight and like most had it for Kovalev,he also said he never wished to see a rematch as he knew how it would go down and in his words without calling him dirty he said that he’s no fans as nobody wants to watch his old fashioned way of fighting and basically stinking the joint out every time.

Ward gives no thought for the paying public and given it was his first PPV it looked like he came to fight for the first two rounds but when Kovalev made him look ordinary at range he resorted to his usual jab, clinch, hold n wrestle for the remainder of the fight.
If you ever saw Ward in his tune ups against Barrera you’d notice that he boxed beautifully and hardly held at all, truth is in in big fights with Ref onside he worked out a way to win by doing everything bar punching and what we usually consider to be boxing, thank God Ward was a one off as the sport would be dead if they all did that.
