MMA fans should get several shows out of this fight. The actual fight and the pre fight pressers. A different dynamic will be at play with a non native but still savy non native English speaker adding to the pre fight theatrics.
All depends wether Khabib allowed to take it to the ground,if after one round we don’t see any take downs then we can be sure it’s a psy op not unlike the Conor v Alvarez fight. If it’s a fair equal fight then you’d have to favour Khabib as nobody yet as been able to stop him taking em to ground. Of course if Conor catch’s Khabib cleanly with that left it could be all over lol
Unfortunately so. Hopefully the Irish and the rest of Conor's fan base will back him like they did for Floyd (where he was drawing to miracles) and we get a tastier price come fight night.
The early and official weigh-in did happen, like always hours before the ceremonial weigh ins. The ceremonial weigh-in starts in like two hours - with face-off.
I am deffo rooting for Conor. I like all the ****-talk and the hype he brings + his style of fighting is more exciting. Who wins, no idea. I did favor Khabib slightly when the fight were announced - but i am more confident in McGregor now than i was a month ago. 50/50 for me. Can Khabib avoid the shots from Conor, and can Conor avoid getting taking down by Khabib. I don't think it will be a competitive fight. They are so different as fighters, so one of them is going to dominate the fight. If it stays on the feet, Conor wins - if Khabib gets it to the ground, he wins. I want to believe that Conor can stop the takedowns from Khabib. Mendes is efficient with his takedowns in the middle of the octagon compared to Khabib, Khabib often uses the fence to finish his takedowns. So if Conor can keep the fight in the middle of the octagon, i do think he got a good chance of keeping the fight standing. If Khabib can pressure Conor to the fence, he most likely takes him down and dominates him on the ground. I want McGregor to win - so yeah, i pick McGregor. What's your pick?
