Should boxing have a limit on number of punches thrown?

LOL That's dumb! Are the rounds going to be shorter? If not, what happens when both fighters hit their limit at the 2 minute mark of the round? Are they just gonna stand there looking at each other fienting and juking for a minute?

 

Outlaw sack sucking fan boys that cry about everything when their hero loses or looks unimpressive. Also, ban all hypocrites from boxing sites. That would go a long way to help the sport!

 

We should really limit it to 1 punch a round, the suspense as to when the fighter would throw that one punch would be extraordinary

Maybe have the fighters write out a game plans instead. Something like how many punches will they throw and how many of those are jabs, uppercuts, etc and how many punches they aim on landing.

It would be like sexting instead of having sex. Something like “jab, jab, hold. Right hook, roll under and go for the ko”.

Then the fans and judges can read the game plans and award the winner. Neither fighter would even have to train. It would prevent injuries, fighters gassing, and disqualifications. And I think it would be more enjoyable.

 

Maybe just change it to a game of tag inside the ring. Fighter with the least time being the tagged fighter by the end of the contest wins. Thats sure to bring out the defensive wizardry.

 

This is the most stupid part of a stupid post in a stupid thread about a stupid idea. Maybe you should watch more Dancing With The Stars instead. Those are my thoughts.

I agree completely with the OP. I only watch boxing to admire the boxer's moustaches and trunks. All this flailing about business detracts from my viewing pleasure. I especially like Ronda Rousey and Katie Holmes.

 

This thread that started out as a clear joke is going to turn out to be epic, I can see it's already heading that direction

 

They have to sit in the ring and write it though, at desks, like it’s an exam. Mauro would love commentating on it
