The only person in the boxing world who is saying this fight won't happen is Hearn I can tell you precisely WHY THIS IS BS. Do not listen to that snake. Eddie says alot of true things. Wilder's team were incompetent in terms of failing to accept big money for fights with guys like Dillian Whyte. This is true. The reason Hearn thinks Fury won't fight Wilder is because exactly 5 months ago before Fury signed with Warren he told Eddie that he wouldn't be ready for big names such as Wilder and specifically WHYTE by December. However Fury has lost another 20 pounds since Seferi and is on fighting weight and should be MORE THAN READY to take on someone like Wilder in December. Wilder and his team put themselves in a tight spot with the AJ neogitations and Fury is suddently a ticket out of that spot. The deal is signed. Fury is making a guaranteed £5m. His career high payday as opposed to £4m for Wlad. Fight will happen in America Las Vegas. All of this has confused Eddie. He is suddenly on the backfoot to negotiate with Wilder and Fury. He is left with risky fights with minimal reward right now with Povetkin and Ortiz. And when Fury beats Wilder (sorry folks) he is going to be EVEN HARDER to negotiate with than Wilder AND WILL NOT GET SHAFTED by Eddie Hearn. Don't get me wrong I think Eddie took the right route from the start in how he wanted to manage the Wilder AJ build up in terms of getting Wilder exposure and fighting guys like Whyte...but it's backfired big time right now for him. Wilder might be flying out in 2 weeks for Fury's fight in Ireland and that's all you need to see.
As I said I think Eddie was doing the right stuff business wise...but it's pretty much all gone to **** for him... pretty funny really. At the end of the day AJ still sells and makes him silly money...problem is when AJ gets impatient about not getting fights with Fury or Wilder. Eddie will have to bend the knee and pay more. MUCH MORE.
The funds aren't there for Wilder-Fury. Everyone's is just angling for the real honey pot AJ. This is all just Twitter talk to promote Pianata. If the fight gets made I will be really happy, just really doubt it. The fight isn't PPV in America. If it's in England it's more believable, I just seriously doubt either will risk losing the AJ payday
You have no idea what you're talking about. Wilder's team just goofed their way out of an "AJ Payday" lmao. The fight is happening. I can guarantee you it. Either Wilder is going to be at the Pianeta fight...but I think they've changed the plan this week instead for Fury to be at Wilder's next fight instead because it's in America. The promotion has already begun.
The funds have to be there for the fighters to fight. In America they'd be lucky if this fight broke 800K free viewership on Showtime. I don't know Fury's star power in England but the purse's in America are just not there. The promoters will lose money & potentially lose the Top pay vs AJ. It's not impossible Wilder-Fury happens but it would be insane if it happened in 2018. Fury is still out of shape & they're likely just building fan interest
It would be embarassing for Wilder and Fury when the fight doesn't happen now after all the talking, let's just hope it happens and if not, they both can
I think whoever wins between Fury and Wilder gets 50/50 with Joshua. Joshua can't afford to not fight the winner. It's a brilliant strategic move from those who've put it together. Leaving Joshua out of it for the moment, it's tremendously important for Wilder to claim lineage. He's going to be under massive pressure in this fight. But the rewards will be massive for winning. Right now he's just an alphabet champ. If he claims the lineal championship, he's in the history books forever. Huge fight for him. Massive. Beating Fury is more important to his career and legacy than beating Joshua down the line.
Im not listening to Hearn, he has no roll in this and has no control over what does and doesnt happen. Hearn is right about them making a meal of some easy negotiations just to make him look worse. Not that he cant claim he hasnt used similar tactics before.
I don't see how this hurts AJ and Hearn? If Fury wins then there will be a rematch and mean while AJ will have options with Ortiz, Whyte and Miller
Just giving an honest opinion. I think the winner of Fury v Wilder gets 50/50 with Joshua. Unlike most of the people who post about Joshua and Wilder, I've got no agenda. That's just how I see it.
Thats fair, i still think it will be 60/40 for AJ as he is still the bigger draw with more belts, you consider lineal as a big thing and it is to many die hard fans but not to the majority of the paying fans, it means little. Maybe this fight will be huge and therefore it will put the winner on a equal footing with AJ (should AJ keep winning) ??? It would have to be a great fight however at the very least. Ie: if Fury looks like crap before Wilder knocks him out. Or if they both stink out the joint i cant see either of them being as popular as AJ as is now.
