Big 4th round for Kovalev, but what a chin on Alvarez if he can hang in there a couple more rounds this might be Alvarez's fight.

    Oh 2-2 btw.

This is becoming a fun fight. Kovalev pounding combos, outslugs Kovalev, grabs the momentum. Alvarez will have to return fire harder especially to the body as he outboxes Kovalev to keep him away. 3-1 Alvarez.

Pretty big round for Kovalev, but Alvarez holding up under the pressure. 39-37 Kovalev

bad strategy to eat punches from a big puncher. Kovalev is so open, that is this Alvarez only hope.

Who’s the ******? You’re licking Ward’s nuts. The way you excuse illegal shots is ******ed. If a fighter is blocking shots, you’re basically saying you can throw rabbit punches and low blows? **** off. Rigo bends over constantly and nobody tries you nut shot him. Only people with no integrity would advocate dirty fighting.

Alvarez seemed really bothered by half-blocked punches.

If you have power like that it's all you need. That's like saying Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather relied on their speed. Who cares what you rely on if you win?

Nothing notable? Kovalev was hit flush (as you say), buckled badly, then staggered around the ring for a good 30-40 seconds, getting hit with an unanswered series of hard shots, many to the body. He then retreated to the corner, bent low to protect his body, before finally doubling over. Kovalev was mentally defeated at that point. In the prior round, remember, he turned his back to Ward, bizarrely, like a broken fighter. And then there was the outsized reaction to the tiny pat to the beltline, as if he'd been hit with a murderous body blow.

It all seemed pretty notable to me.
