    Round 1 Kovalev 10-9
    Round 2 Alvarez 10-9
    Round 3 Kovalev 10-9
    Round 4 Kovalev 10-9
    Round 5 Kovalev 10-9

Kovalev walking him down now, working the jab, countering with the left hook, Alvarez looking skittish.

Lomachenko literally hammer fisted him because he was bending down. I don't even blame Loma for doing that since Rigo put himself in a position where that was the only possible punch to land dumb **** ******. Keep crying that right hand ended Kov's career *****.

3-2 Kovalev. Krusher seems in control now. Alvarez is letting him repeatedly outwork him. He seemed to take Kovalev's punches well, so not sure what he's doing.

    Because he's not Wilder.

I don't think his power is enough.

taking punches is not a good strategy
He should either be landing his jab and right hand or blocking..

This. Alvarez needs to pick it up and get Kovalev's respect.

Kovalev just can't control the fight behind his jab while on his front foot and mixing in combos as he likes to. Alvarez becoming wary of the aggression and power though, not as active or good with his jab in the 5th. 3-2 Alvarez. Anyone's fight I think.

Close 5th round. Alvarez back to punching with Kovalev and I thought he might have landed the more eye catching stuff, especially in the second minute.
