That was also notable. Good job by Alvarez. The olympic gold medalist Ward (who toyed with 6'6 Makarenko badly) could beat Alvarez in his sleep, though, as you well know.

    Ward barely qualifies.

This actually destroys Wards best win which he got by cheating. Wards resume took a hit!

I think he's always had that sneaky power tbf. It bites but he caught Kovalev tonight. Is what it is man. Can't smear the guy until he's actually shown that he's guilty.

Glad Alvarez got the stoppage. The judges were going to rob him.

Doesn't seem fair to say because he got hurt again but I actually think after the first kd Kovalev was alert and many other elites would've had both the heart and survival instincts to recover and avoid being hurt badly again.

LOL Those 2 low blows Ward landed had nothing to do with the demise of Kovalev! This loss to EA may very well be.
Question, does Kov pack more glass than Wilder?

Oh, come on. Someone was going to ask it. Might as well be me. Besides, it's a legit question for some Kovalev fans I'm sure. :D

Anyway, props to the Storm! He did well to weather Kovalev's surge and then come back with something big in return.

1st fight is arguable but the ref in the 2nd never even let him go to the canvas and stopped after 3 low blows. Alvarez won clearly

I bet $100 on Alvarez, but didn't expect him to knock Kovalev out.
