The only thing Ward PERHAPS permanently cracked is Kovalev's future prospects of being able to successfully impregnate a woman. I can see how that might get affected after the nut shots he took.

I mean if Tommy Morrison had a good/decent chin before Mercer and then he started having chin issues then it's plausible that after such a massive KO you could say the guy's chin got cracked. I don't see why it's not possible. Every fight is different. We've all seen guys that supposedly aren't super hard punchers hurt others, case in point, Ward hurt Kov. It happens all the time. This guy caught him right. It's boxing.

He won 2 fights after the disgraceful Ward rematch against B level opponents made to measure.....Alvarez is the first top tier opponent he's faced since Ward and he did a better job than Ward and only needed 1 go at it.

Look back at Kovalevs resume prior to Ward it wasn't stacked in anyway, yes he beat Hopkins and Pascal without breaking a sweat but that's only because the division had moved on with Kovalev who is head and shoulders above the last champions previous to him and now we have the new blood in Bivol, Alvarez, Gvozdyk who are better than he was.

Ward hasn't cracked anything and got out of the division to avoid Beterbiev/Bivol and Gvozdyk who is the best at 175.
