That's your opinion what you're entitled to. I don't think that Alvarez would have knocked out the versions of Kovalev who fought Hopkins etc. I think the losses to Andre have had a huge effect on him mentally.

You could reasonably convince me that the Kovalev from Cleverly, Hopkins and Ward I fights is a better version, since he was slightly younger. JDJ also said that he didn't take his training seriously in the 2nd fight and he got folded by him in the training to the body which is a huge warning sign that he was not training properly. Kovalev in Alvarez fight got beat in the exact same manner as the Ward 2 fight. But then we'd have to say the Ward 2 version of Kovalev was also a worse version of him.
You put Ward as his best win but he never officially beat Ward as you very well know. Just repost your top 3 official wins for Kovalev.....which proves him to be this beast that....well you know.....his resume proves....or something to that extent.
