Is this fight legit? Or simply a marketing ploy to up each fighters bargaining power? Personally, i dont see this fight happening, as i dont think Wilder is prepared to lose his 0 for little money as we have seen many times in the past.
Yeah, most big fights take time, you know, like rock solid contracts with all the details ironed out. Don't get your hopes up for another duck, keep your rhetorical powder dry for a few more days. You seem a little too eager, like all the people who jumped for joy when Ortiz was popped for PED's so they could somehow blame that on Wilder.
No fury will win but can you deny he is not at his best? come on its a unfair advantage but fury will still win
Not at all. The fights gone from seconds away from being signed 5 days ago to silent mode. Like most, just wondering peoples opinions if they think its a legitimate fight in the making or just a ploy to promote themselves, wouldnt be the first time for either Wilder or Fury, and wont be the last.
I think they're just waiting for the WBC to come out and demand that Wilder face Breazeale next so that they can come out and say to everyone that they tried but it just wasn't possible.
the WBC have already said they are not calling for a mandatory against breazeale til January at the earliest.... my guess is one them gets "injured", probably Fury as Wilder needs a fight before end of 2018
It makes too much sense for both fighters. And the money would be good. Had a thread and poll up earlier, and most thought it would get enough buys to more than make it worth the risk. Not only does the winner of the fight make over 60% of what AJ is currently offering, but adds negotiating leverage to get AJ to agree to a 50/50 split. They can make WAY more combined money than just settling for what AJ is currently offering
Not all big fights take time. Wilder holds one belt, Fury holds none. If they both want it and, as Fury said, both happy to go 50/50, this fight takes a couple of days to get signed. I'd be amazed if this is their next fight. Would love to be wrong, but I'm fairly certain I'm not. Fury is one of the best self-promoters in the business and it's win/win for Wilder too. They'll drag this out until Fury fights and then announce Breazeale.
