I’d bet anything we could find a few guys that have sparred both and say Wlad hits harder. Also Wlad might not of really sat down on his shots and hit Gassiev with his best when they sparred. Chris Byrd said in an interview around 2005 that Vitali hit “Harder than Wladimir” and then after their rematch in 2007 in interviews said “Wlad hits ten times harder. Not even close.” Why... because Wlad just hit him with better shots in the rematch.
You didn't see him dig deep when Ortiz = who everyone loved and talked up as a monster before he fought Wilder, - threw the kitchen sink and then some when Wilder was against the ropes?
