I agree. Look at how competitive old Oscar was able to make it..

I think if De La Hoya was a little more in his prime he beats Floyd but Floyd was not in his prime also. Floyd's prime in my opinion was not that long. I don't think he is really a natural welter either.

And Shane is absolutely right. Prime Oscar not only fought way better competition than Floyd did, fighters Floyd never would've fought prime versions of in a million years, he would've paddled Floyd's his ass something terrible in his prime too. You only have to look at what a way past his best inactive drug ravaged shell of Oscar who'd only fought once in almost 3 years and been out for a whole year did to him when they did actually share a ring with each other, and that was an Oscar who was 2-2 in his last 4 fights and one of those 2 wins was the mother of all robberies against Sturm lol

That depends at 130 FMJ struggled real bad with Reggie Sanders who has 47 losses.

Any version of Floyd would beat Oscar and Shane Mosley. I know it pains them but the truth is he was simply better than them superior skills and boxing IQ. That is not to finish the status of either but the truth is the truth.

Oscar's own magazine The Ring doesn't even rank Oscar as greater.:deal: End thread.

Wishful thinking might help you sleep better at night but at the end of the day there's something called reality. Try living in it.

Probably only because you'd have idiots who don't know **** about boxing who would have put a ton of money on Oscar that's the only reason why.:deal: All the wiseguys like me would have made out like bandits if that had been the case.

I'm pretty sure prime for prime Vegas would have DLH favored. That doesnt mean he automatically wins of course.

But he would be favored for a reason. DLH had a long stiff jab and massive left hook.

He would be a favorite for the reasons I mentioned casuals who don't know the sport. Only a fool wold favor Oscar who was flawed lost alot of big fights and fades over a boxing master like PBF who has virtually no flaws. Stiff jab taken away or countered left hook circled away from boxing lesson ensues.:deal:

If FMJ beat prime DLH it would be one of the best wins ever.

Let me remind you that Oscar is bigger and stronger. A past prime, coked up DLH was shoving prime FMJ all over the ring.

No way DLH respects his power. A juiced up prime Mosley was hammering him with left hooks and they didn't even daze DLH. Who has one of the ATG chins.

His jab is too long and good. Hes too big.

You got it wrong. You mean if Oscar had beat a prime PBF it would have been one of the best wins ever.

Let me remind you that PBF is more skilled and better. A small PBF who had no business at 154 who fought Oscar with a stacked deck beat him 9-3 with ease.

No way PBF respects Oscar's skills or ring IQ or his stamina which always betrayed him. A juiced Mosley still managed to win the rematch with Oscar but that same juiced Mosley couldn't beat Forrest or Wright.

PBF is too complete and is too smart and too great.

Good posts, the prime for prime comparison proposed in this thread is invalid as Floyd's prime was at 130 while Oscar's was at a higher weight.
