That is just as pointless as comparing 2013 Vitali going to war with plodding mediocrity Derek chisora to 1987 mike tyson outjabbing Tony Tucker.

Tyson always threw with venom that was his style and in his prime he was still sharp inround 12 while both Vitali and Wlad, due to their size would be gasping for breath after 5 rounds of fighting at that intensity.

@Cojimar 1946 Vitali and Foreman have very very little in common and the stylistic matchup is very dofferent. Foreman has a good shot at beating Tyson.

I've got Tyson by UD. He makes Vitali Look uncoordinated and slow. Vitali cannot hurt Tyson And i actually think that a pre prison Tyson has a better workrate and stamina even in the later rounds so no chance of Vitali wearinghim down either.

1987 Tyson outjabbing Biggs and Tucker and Even a 2002 Tyson had some limited success with his jab vs Lewis so Tyson will use it vs Vitali as well

oh no, why is this being asked. tyson kills him, unless vits plays to survive. a man whose best win is arguably, a retired fattie who wasnt able to contend back in his prime, should not be let into the same ring as tyson.

    goes out like berbie.

Footage against a common opponent is pointless? OK.

I disagree, and I will shortly tell you why.

Counterpoint: anybody can be hurt when they've been outboxed and outworked for a whole fight, especially by a giant with an 87% KO ratio. Just ask Foreman.

I'd like to take you up on your "pointless" challenge of comparing old, over the hill 2013 Vitali vs Chisora to prime 1987 Tyson vs Tucker.

    First, Tyson:

"According to CompuBox, Tyson landed 216 of 412 total punches (52 percent), while Tucker connected on 174 of 452 (39 percent)."

    http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Mike_Tyson_vs._Tony_Tucker

    211 / 605 landed by Vitali and 163 / 359 for Chisora.

    and as the Scene notes

"Vitali avg’d just 22 jabs thrown per round and 5 landed per round, after averaging 44 thrown/12 landed in his previous 8 fights. Vitali also threw 18 fewer total punches per round than in his previous 8 fights. Perhaps an injured shoulder? "

    https://www. (the scene) .com/forums/view.php?pg=klitschko-chisora-compubox

So yeah, comparing worst ever Vitali to best-ever Tyson, its apparent that Vitali would be outworking Tyson and if anybody couldn't keep up the pace, it would be Mike.

Tyson was throwing at a mobile target in Tucker while Vitali was throwing at punching bag chisora.
Do you think Vitali will be throwing as many punches if Tyson is slipping his punches and coming back with hard body shots like he did to Tony Tucker in round 3?

Vitalis KO percentage is also deceptive as he isn't half the puncher his brother is and this is confirmed by Danny Williams who said Vitali Klitschkos Power wasn't even close to a shot Tyson's.

Yes comparing footage is pointless because both took out Francis easily and it's an old Tyson and a young Vitali.

Combine Vitalis chin and spirit with Wlads power and Tyson has no chance. But Vitali isnt coordinated and athletic enough and Wlad who is atheltetic and powerful enough, doesn't have the chin and the calm and instincts when under fire.

Vitali Klitschko has no wins on his resumee to justify him being picked over pre jail Tyson. His performance vs an unprepared Lewis is no better than Bruno's who dominated Lewis until he gassed.

Ummmmm .... Vitali was like OVER 40 and fought 9 ROUNDS with a torn ligament. That's right, he tattood Chisora basically with one arm.

That's an ancient, injured, Vitali that we are comparing to PRIME Tyson.

I absolutely believe that he'll be throwing the same volume, because Vitali is levels above Tony Tucker, who managed to throw 450 himself.

I actually agree with you there since Klitschko typically boxed conservatively but Tyson bet the house on his punches. Vitali liked to grind his opponents down, but, if you look at the Francis fight and other fights like vs Herbie Hide, when he sat down on his punches he hit plenty hard.

I guess we disagree, but that's OK, I'm hear to listen to different opinions.

Not really since a bob n weave hooker is all wrong for a 1-2 straight puncher.

Foreman had the antidote to that style with his brutal uppercuts.

Tyson beat a better Vitali by near shut out against Tony Tucker.

^^ Sums it up. Vitali TKO's Tyson in the later rounds, taking full control in the mid rounds after the front runner gases, and has difficult with Vilali's size, range and accurate power punches.

Vitali would never get going against Tyson.

Look at the two guys he fought who gave him angles- Byrd and Johnson. He couldn't land a clean blow on either of them.

Name me one fighter Vitali beat that had foot speed , hand speed and quick upper body and head movement. Just name me one?

a guy who can unify undisputed when barely beyond being a child

a guy who can barely hold a title without his brother around.

do the math, the gulf is horrendous.

Tyson would rough Vitali up with body punches from the inside and hurt him with uppercuts dodging most of his punches with head movement constantly moving back and forth.

Vitali would throw arm punches and couldn't hurt Tyson with them.

Tyson was more prone to get hurt by the accurately timed single knockout punch, the Wilder, Lennox, Wlad
    style of approach.

Accumulative arm punching was not the way to get to him, Tyson could easily deal with his power.

The body punches would wear Vitali down in the later rounds and a knockout win would be not out of reach for
    Tyson.

Tyson would win by UD 116-112 or TKO in the later rounds.
