Could it not be a part of the recovery. Riding a bike is a lot different to being 100% fit to fight ?
From my understanding he injured his ankle 4/5 weeks before the fight of course the injury is either nearly hundred percent or is obviously a lot better ??? I actually saw pictures of him training the week of the fight . He actually told Hearn to hold off for two weeks to see if he could rest it up and still take the fight but after two weeks the injury was obviously to much and to dangerous to take the fight after missing vital weeks of training .
That's right he thought resting and not train he be ready but the injury just didn't heal up and it was too mich risk with very low preparation for the fight.
surely he has to get some rounds in if Hearn is trying to make the Khan fight for December 8th. So I think you cook be right.
his career and legacy could have been so much different, could have had unifications at welterweight, win another belt then try and do the same at 154, instead ggg ruined him for a couple million, lost his belt without trying to unify, now he wont even fight the top guys at 154, just tick over fights until he gets khan for a last pay day
Yeah he had the chance too unify with Vargas then after that he could have either got the Pacquiao fight that Vargas got or he could have unified with Thurman for all the belts, how different his career ended up, so disappointing when you think of it like that
