Information on how many tickets have been sold has been pretty quite from Eddie. What do you guys think, will Joshua vs Povetkin sell out Wembley?

Probably will, but that will be to Povetkins advantage!

Unless you have good seats close up, boxing is utter garbage to watch in a huge stadium, much better at home on the big screen

Your right but i think the fans will tire of these PPV stadium fights they need to mix it up a bit Vegas, MSG, etc

Though its all about milking as much dosh as they can so i guess it continues until hes beaten

This. Even that Chinese fella in the birds nest, id imagine that to be lucrative. The UAE would be lucrative and has arenas.

The stub hub ban has really thrown the cat amongst the pigeons..
Gone is the “sold out in 2 hours ” stuff, instead you can now easily buy any tickets you want, at face values. Even a large amount of the ones which are sold are Likely to have been bought by ticket scalpers hoping to sell them on.

I said after Takam and hearing the boos ring out that I think we may start to see some of the hype die down and then after the dog muck Parker fight, I think even Some of the casuals haven’t been desperate to get their tickets the minute they where available.

As we all discussed in another thread, AJ needs to be impressive against Povetkin otherwise things will go downhill.

Yes, AJs two fights per year will both sell out whilst he still has the 0 in the L column & the casuals are enthralled by Hearns cash cow.

    Keep milking.

    Avoid Wilder though.

I think the real question is whether it sells as a PPV to the extent which other AJ fights have. The reason I say that is because there are so many PPV's coming up. Canelo-GGG, Khabib-McGregor, possibly Wilder-Fury. And we've just had Whyte-Parker. The PPV for Joshua-Povetkin has to take a hit, surely.

It should definitely sell out though.

Anyone ever looked at AJs clothing range 35 pound for a ****ing t-shirt !

I don't think it'll sell out and expect lower PPV numbers , do they ever release the PPV buy rates ?

Absolutely agree with this - my last stadium fight was Froch v Groves on the halfway line 20 rows up tier one and it was awful viewing even when in a good seat. No idea what they were watching in the gods.

That was my last stadium fight ever.

All the seats at Wembley during the Joshua fight will not have an arris on - that is a fact.

I think shouting about the Wilder fight has actually backfired on them now, the Povetkin fight isnt a bad fight itself but even the casuals were getting hyped for the Wilder fight so when this got announced it was a bit of an anti climax for them.
