Yes remaining undefeated knocking out all but 1 of his opponents in 40 fights and winning a heavyweight title is regarded as a achieving nothing these days
Luis Ortiz is about to croak it.... His blood pressures so high they just pre booked him a spot at the stoke unit! https://www.boxinginsider.com/columns/luis-ortiz-emergency-room/ #Geriatriccoffindodgersquad
A HW who turned pro in his 30s & looks like he's about to have a cardiac arrest from all the juice he's been necking
Wilder fans see beating Ortiz as beating Megatron or Thanos. Ortiz is quickly becoming the most overrated heavy in history of HW. Deluded casual fans claiming its a better win than ATG Wlad.
90 % of the mindless general thinks Wilder is a bum......cool, if this bum Wilder ko's Fury/AJ what does that make them ? Triple bums ?
It's actually more pathetic the trolls and Wilder haters who continually overexaggerate Ortiz age and downplay that he is still 1 of the top and most avoided heavyweights. In fact no matter what age Ortiz really is, the only fighter Joshua has beaten that was better was when he beat Wlad for the title.
I wouldn't put Wilder up there with Tyson in any case. Wilder is entertaining, and he is strong for this era, but let's not get ahead our selves he is no Tyson or Lennox. Let's be real, Wilder is in a good position, Joshua is still around and Tyson is coming up next, he just needs one big pay day and he's done. Not much else to it, Jenner is nothing special I don't see what he could have done that Prtiz couldn't or Washington or any other of Wilder's Opponent. So there's only like 4 guys that are a worthy fight for Wilder = Joshua, Tyson, Whyte, maybe povetkin? If he beats Tyson and Joshua he can retire and his legacy over. I don't see him ever coming back after that.
Ive seen his record, its not the amount of fights, its not the amount of knock outs, its who he has fought. Had there been any names in there to really get fans excited he would be on PPV now, he would be in a much stronger financial position to demand the things he demanding against Joshua. Half of his resume, thats about the same amount of fights as Anthony Joshua, is full of old club level Cruiserweights with big losing records that nobody has heard of. His last 7 fights ive found to be of a decent level but still not exactly sparking. Even Ortiz, his biggest win that the Wilder fans never shut up about, has serious questions about his fitness and health, its common knowledge he was almost pulled out on the day of the fight. There have been plenty of better fighters he could of taken on, and very likely beaten, that would of done him a world of good. Wilder is really good, his technique is poor but his style is getting the job done, hes a damn dangerous fighter. He is good enough to be the American Heavyweight superstar.
