It's almost impossible to bet against Robison at welterweight, but if we're ever going to justify it, Ray Leonard would be in the opposing corner. I wouldn't be surprised if either man win, but you almost have to go with Robinson on merit.
What's that, a green M & M moment ? Two reasons .. people don't realize that Robinson may have been the greatest two fisted puncher when factoring both hands, speed and power, in the history of the sport. Then his chin .. in over 200 fights, twenty five years never KO'ed (heat exhaustion aside) .. still a very interesting fight .. Leonard was exceptional.
Of course I'll take 'Sugar' not the sugar that stole his name. And you know me...Eras. A prime SRR in 1980 vs. Leonard same time? 'Sugar'! A prime late 40's Leonard vs. 'Sugar' at that time? Demolition derby! My $0.02
