I'm not comparing Wilder the individual to Tyson, I was referring to the type of comments made. But don't let that stop you from stating the obvious about Mike Tyson's past.

 

The amount of estrogen filled my little ponies in this thread pulling up their bed sheets to their faces because Wilder said something mean to someone who wanted to harm him and his brother.

He made a direct threat to consume his children which is much worse than Wilder expressing his wish for Breazle's son to see through his eyes. No threat, just an expression

Let's not digress away from the topic, which is the strictly regarding the comments. I make no excuses for Wilder and his team attacking Breazealle outside of the ring.

Saying that, Breazealle as a father shouldn't have put his wife and children in that position. He was just as volatile and confrontational during the incident, yet when it all kicked off, he wanted to hide behind his wife and child.

This is life and death, any moment one blow to the head with enough force is enough to kill a fighter.

When you're in the ring you have to have mean intentions. You can't be soft.

 

No they don't, they know death is a possibility in the ring but nobody expects it to happen to them, if they did all these boxers would have a death wish, which clearly isn't the case. There's a difference between knowing it's a possibility and expecting it.
