    Roy Jones on points easy

let's see what this "bad azz" who hangs out with Galindez does when Roy sucker punches him, flurries and shoe shines him

what's he going to do, crowd Roy and break him down to the body?

RJJ by decision for me. Too fast and imo a bad matchup for Carlos.

Hard not to pick RJJ. I think he had only two 12 round fights at 160, He didn't need the extra rounds anyway .. He beat Hopkins in one of them, went the distance. RJJ is one of the best "eye test" boxer's in history without really fully being tested competition wise imo.. His speed and reflexes are light years ahead of Monzon, but as we know in boxing, speed isn't everything and who better to be the example of that, than Monzon .. There is something to be said for experience and figuring your opponents out when the fight is on the line and in the championship rounds .. I like Monzon in a 15 rounder

Good points (although I'd still pick RJJ).

Bad style match up for monzon,
I think Monzon would do a bit better than Hopkins but still not enough.
Comfortable UD for rjj by boxing on the outside n being cautious.

Pretty fair analysis bud, and you make some points. Though, I would still favor Roy to win a fight between them.

Monzon is the toughest matchup for Roy at any weight. But you still have to favor Roy.

Odd considering Monzon is the best MW ever by some. Doesn't the generally recognized best in each division generally get favored over anybody else in that same division in h2h matchups? Ali is generally slated to beat any HW, SRR is generally favored to beat any WW. Charles is generally favored to beat any LHW. Yet Carlos is often picked to lose hypothetical matchups against other MW greats. Odd.

Agreed, I remember Roy's fight with Hopkins, Bernard came on in the last 4 rounds, had that been Monzon in a 15 round fight????

I think the reverse is true - Jones is not far away from the absolute toughest match for Carlos. Blinding speed and elusiveness. Monzon was great at putting pressure on even when you were trying to avoid it. He would make you fight him and you had to beat him at his game pretty much. I don't think that would happen with Jones.
