That’s the thing but if you’ve ever seen those vids of Wilder with him falling over it’s a wonder nobody’s been able to punish him for it.
Molina the mexican school teacher caught him with some decent counters that hurt him. Stiverne hurt him And Spilka also hurt him Wilder is very good at hiding when he is hurt. He stiffens up and holds ground. I'd expect someone with the physical size and tenacity of Fury would punish him during a moment like that. all it takes is abit of wrestling or as Wlad likes to employ...a push. Ortiz couldn't finish the job because he is a 6'3" 50 year old who was gassed. Fury can go 12 rounds without gassing. Very rare for a HW. See how Wilder hit the ropes to help hold himself up against Ortiz? Wlad/AJ/Fury would literally man handle him to the canvas in such an event.
Yep I agree those three would punish his mistakes and you feel that when it happens it’ll be a big KO,there’s been times when he’s fallen over and his chin has been right there for the taking but guys like Spilka,Molina and Ortiz just wasn’t there to take advantage. He was hurt pretty bad against Ortiz and I’m sure it was said he was given more time in the corner than usual to recover.
Deontay was dropped by the legendary Harold Sconiers http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Deontay_Wilder_vs._Harold_Sconiers
The guy never worries and shouldn't...he has rolled this fraud train on down the line a lot longer than anyone suspected would be possible. When it inevitably derails, well, what has he lost, really?
I could care less about either guy, really, but I'd push my chips in on the idea that Wilder may get outboxed and even look foolish early before landing some spine-freezing haymaker and Fury will be staring into a flashlight trying to remember what he ate for lunch.
I had a Twitter back and forth with Peter Fury many years ago when the Haye/Fury fight got announced the first time. My question was simply how are you going to avoid Haye's overhand right because Fury has always been wide open to it throughout his career. Peter's response in a nutshell was we are aware we have been working on it in case you are wondering. The Wlad fight cannot be used as a counter-argument as Wlad does not throw that shot, Fury WAS a great fighter but still flawed, he is now 2 1/2 years inactive (if you see that farce of a fight the other month as a legitimate contest your mental) he has put his body through hell, he is not the Tyson Fury that faced Wlad. Wilder is a very real danger at this point as much as it pains me to admit given how little actual talent I perceive Deontay to have if this is real! Fury is an idiot for doing this so early in his comeback. My prediction Wilder will be getting outboxed (as he always does) and land a big OH Right and that will be all she wrote. Pains me to write this as I like Fury and I think he is 10 times the boxed WEilder will ever be.
