When boxers pick fighters for something like this, I always look for an agenda. Here, Rahman won one against Lewis and lost one, but just lost badly to Wlad. So he will try to pump the guy he was more competitive up, of course. Almost all statements from boxers about other boxers they fought can usually be traced back to agenda like that. On the main topic, I agree with what most people are saying. Lewis has more diversity and agression, Wlad probably had slightly more one punch power in his most powerful shot. His right and left were almost definitely stronger than Lewis's. But that uppercut of Lewis is obviously way better than Wlads virtually non-existent uppercut.
Wlad seemed to have more one shot power Brock by the straight right, and Chambers by a lead left hook. Austin was put out without even one right hand being thrown the entire fight Wlad had all time great KO power
It wouldn't have taken Lewis 12 rounds to put Eddie Chambers to sleep. He would have done it in 3 , possibly one.
Pretty evenly matched skill wise, Lewis lands his right more maybe, but the more I think of it I pick Wlad one shot power, also better left hook
Lewis would blow through 6 foot eddie Chamber like a blow torch tru candy floss. It wouldn't be a fair fight
You've no idea how long it would have taken Lennox. He did take the whole 12 to get a majority decision over Mercer. Wlad put him away in less than half that time.
Sure i do. It would have looked like Briggs fight , only quicker. Lewis ruined Mercer. His uppercuts destroyed his neck badly , to the point Ray wasn't medically fit to fight Golota in 97/98. Wlad fought an unranked and totally shot to bits Mercer in 2002. Wlad would pay the price for cherry picking washed up 90s era contenders for title defenses in his next fight.
I want someone to post one instance when Lennox Lewis put a SINGLE opponent to sleep, and I mean totally to sleep / state of unconsciousness. I don't mean your typical British stoppage, or an opponent stopped but is still conscious. Wladimir Klitschko has indeed put opponents to sleep, unlike Lennox Lewis. Levi Billups (a bum with double digit losses) went 12 rounds with Lennox Lewis whilst showing him minimum respect. This same bum was put to sleep by Wladimir's weaker punching brother Vitali Klitschko in just 3 rounds. Just go compare Wladimir Klitschko's knockout performance against Phil Jackson to Lennox Lewis's knockout performance over the same guy.
