Mavrovic barely even faced a single top 10 heavyweight before fighting Lewis. Why are you bringing skin color into this? Are you this insecure? And I could say the same about you when it comes to having a 'serious distaste / hatred' for any white or specially Eastern European fighter. I dislike Western (British and American) protected hype jobs and divas. You adamantly defend Andre Ward from his illegal tactics in that other thread whilst posting nonsensical posts about the Klitschkos. That sums you up just about right!
In region of 250 pounds of skilled World Champion boxer throwing their finest punch, let's just say either one is going to immediately separate any average human from their consciousness, give them a headache of many days duration postfight, and that is the least damaging outcome you could hope for.
I'll take your word for it, I wouldn't know myself which of the two giants is more massive right off hand, but I reckon the world of fighter's actual power is kind of a can of worms. Marciano's 925 ft-lbs is pretty insane and should have caused death. Rocky landed some unprotected, flush, clean shots in his career and didn't kill anyone. Came a bit close but never killed. You can rationalise that a million different logical ways most of which require some kind of separation from his actual power and his practical power. That said if Wlad can hit like a heavybag harder than Lennox that wouldn't be terribly surprising to me. He is a big man and was always in excellent shape.
I agree power is not something that is easily determined wilder seems to have crazy power just winging shots
Actually Wilder throws his right hand with perfect rotation and technique that's where the power come from. The windmilling only starts when the opponent is already hurt and he does it just to finish him off. The looping shots are not that powerful but if he lands the right hand straight it's devastating.
That's true because he has that kind of power but that doesn't mean he is always swinging shots like that.
I know he doesn't ive said it before his boxing skill got him a bronze medal but he dose and quite often just start swinging
There was once a poster here, who sparred quite a few of the all time greats. Don't remember his name right now but he chose Wlad over anybody he fought. Can somebody help out? He posted on a few boxing forums.
For what it's worth, Emanuel had always stated that Wlad had better one-punch knockout power in both hands.
