Couldn't agree more. Canelo gets so overrated on this board for one reason, and one reason only, to prop of Mayweather.

Because he himself was in his prime when he fought Hagler?lol

If ever a fighter built his rep on beating faded former greats its your boy Norris
    Taylor,Curry,Leonard .
Great fighters don't lose to the Rosenblatts,Bouduaini's and Mullings of the boxing world

The problem with the above is, many had Lara winning and some had Trout at least getting a draw. Who cares about Mosely he was a shell of himself by then. Did you see Canelo's performance against May? He was clearly out of his element, and it was clear to anybody with two eyes he wasn't ready for that stage. He was tentative, passive and basically just collected a check. You saw you motivation or desperation from a man losing every second of every round for the championship of the world. He wasn't ready, and that fight proved he wasn't at that level

Norris was the one responsible for taking down Leonard's career. he Fu**** him up and slaughtered him. The difference was the speed, spelled S-P-E-E-D!

Oh, if ONLY Leonard had retired following the Hagler fight, then we never would have found out!

side note: it's interesting the way Sports Illustrated spun this; they never mentioned the fight itself
    LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL!

see that Mcvey? it's like the Norris - srl fight. For every ONE you miss, I score 5-6-7-8

Taylor was shot at 25. No he wasn't really holding THE TITLE. There are mutiple belts and Duva got him an easy match up with Aaron Davis. Otherwise he was getting decked by the likes of Glenwood Brown.

Do you remember that fight was at 150?

Man obsession? This forum is basically about opinions and your thoughts and facts about the opinions right? Perhaps if you could formulate a intelligent thought, you could write your opinion too.

that's the first I heard of that!

how can anyone deny that Taylor was the title holder? that's as crazy as saying he was shot at 25 after just 8 years of professional fighting and one loss (which we all know is really a win)

if Taylor's not the champion, then WHO is? rival title holder Buddy Mcgirt? Taylor already beat him. remember?

"he wasnt really holding the title" go on, get out of here

Taylor had the WBA version, everyone knows he wasn't the same after the Chavez fight. Norris was a comet, a flash in the pan who soared quickly and just as quickly fell to earth, he had a weak chin and lost to average fighters. There are no Derrick Kelly and Joe Walker losses on Leonard's resume.
Leonard never lost to journeymen and he never lost in his prime, now go and kiss some more Norris photos, your obsession with this guy is profoundly and eerily disturbing.

I'm sure you started watching boxing during the Mayweather era, its obvious. I've watched the fight game since the 70's dude, Mayweather isn't close to the best I've seen. Simple as that. But enjoy the media hype.

    who is everyone?

Was that not Taylor I watched pitching a shutout over Aaron Davis a year after the Chavez fight?

Why should I agree that a 25 year old is washed up just for the reason you don't like crediting Norris for beating him inside of four. Whereas Chavez needed the help of an incompetent to save his undefeated record.

    Norris >> Chavez

and from what I saw in the leonard fight, handled your man without a problem

now why don't you screw on your head the right way

    okay Mr. offbeat, left hander?
