Is Floyd Mayweather, Jr the only sub 160 lb fighter to beat Marvin Hagler in this era?

I see Floyd doing a Sugar on him, outboxing him to a 116-112, possibly 115-113 type decision. Don't see either man getting knocked down, could be a great show here.

A good boxing match. I see Floyd taking some good ones, Marvin taking a ton of big right leads.

No. Hagler would dismantle Floyd in a mismatch.

Floyd is one of my favorites of all time but Hagler is too big and strong. He also arguably has the best chin of all time so he wouldn't respect Floyd's power at all.

The version of Hagler who Sugar Ray got would be fair game. Leonard wasn't even that good after the layoff.

Hagler was about the same size as Canelo. I'm sure he weighed less on fight night.

Please don't ever compare Canelo to Hagler. Not to mention Hagler won't stay back and try and counter and get picked apart. He will come forward and go at Floyd. I agree with ur other post though. If it's the Hagler Leonard fought Floyd has a chance. But if we're talking about prime Hagler, I don't give him much of a chance. For the record I'm a way bigger fan of SRL, Hearns and Duran than Hagler.

I'll venture to say Floyd beats 87 Leonard. I'm not all that impressed with Leonard post layoff.

I see Floyd dropping glass chinned Hagler with a pull counter.

This would actually be a KEY shot in this matchup, whether Hagler fights southpaw or orthodox.

Leonard had major eye problems, he definitely wasn't the same fighter post layoff. Still impressive what he accomplished though.

Hagler fought methodically more than all-out aggression. I wouldn't expect Floyd to beat him at his best, but 87 Hagler wouldn't be a stretch.

It wasn't his eye. It was cocaine, alcohol, and lack of dedication.
