What do we think would've happened??

Would've been a great fight to watch on a technical basis

Still think Haye would have won.

Fury tickled his way to victory vs Wlad just based off longer reach and being a bit awkward. It was a pathetic effort from Wlad (who probably thought he was doing just enough to get a decision)

I've rematch ed that fight many times and it's not some technical masterclass as its made out to be.

Haye has plenty of faults but if he was at anywhere near his best he would catch fury at some point with that big right hand.

And if USS can drop you with a right, Haye can nail you to the canvas for a 10 count.

Fury didn’t rate or really respect USS. He started showboating and goading, switched off and got caught with a flash knockdown. People (including Bellew) keep going back to that moment and the fact is, yes, if he switches off you can catch him. However, I think like BJS, the bigger the threat the more ‘switched on’ they are. To be blunt, he’d have jabbed Haye’s head off. It would have been a beat down. Haye was a blown up cruiserweight.

I’ve noticed you reference the Vlad-Fury fight a few times now @Infern0121 but that was an exhibition of boxing skill. Hit but don’t be hit. Vlad couldn’t land sweet on Fury, he was too elusive. It’s elite level boxing not a scrap outside a kebab shop. You can’t just force the shot and not worry about what’s coming back.

Fury all wrong for Haye - even prime...

Not big enough to compete with the best superheavies...

And that’s coming from one of Haye’s biggest fans...

At the time Fury had been put down by much lesser fighters and shown nothing like the ability to win a world title but with hindsight...

I’m a big Haye fan and I also am a Fury supporter. At the time I thought Haye would blast him out easily. In hindsight, common sense says Fury wins it. His movement is far better than Klitschko’s so if Wlad could beat UD a better version of Haye with ease, surely Tyson would do the same.

As a caveat, if Haye was genuinely not as broken down as we saw in the Bellew fights, he would at least have a chance of landing. It might have been that Haye was so dismissive of Fury’s threat that he would have gone all out, unlike the reserved respectful of power performance against Wlad. Another factor is Booth in the corner.

Could have been an all time classic really, shame we never saw it.

Haye was finished by the time he made his last comeback, injuries had ruined him - speed and timing faded, even his punch power had deteriorated.

Fury by wide UD or late stoppage.

I mean, surely his reach would have been even longer and thus even more awkward? Haye couldn't land his 'big right hand' cleanly enough on Wlad who is less elusive than Fury.

Haye is a capable HW no doubt but him as a huge force at HW is massively overstated.

And if Mock can drop you, Fury can nail you to the canvas for a 10 count.

20/20 says Fury easily, but like said, if Haye's moneyshot lands it's quite different as a Pajkic or Cunningham one.

Haye is one of the most overrated guys in heavyweight history

I have no idea, I can imagine both winning.

In the words of Sky's Adam Smith.. "it's a fight that has opinion sharply divided, a real 50/50.. fascinating".

A superheavyweight with skill (which Tyson Fury is) will always beat a blown up cruiserweight who relies totally on reflexes.

not a fan of fury but haye is also very overated, got schooled by the bigger man in WK, Fury even bigger and awkward than WK would have beaten haye on points probably.

The thing that disappoints me with Haye is, even if he was losing on points, he would do the same as he did against Klit and not gamble at all and go for it.
