The Dempsey who beat "hay farmer and retired amateur boxer" (Seamus words not mine) Jess Willard vs the Grant who beat Golota....Dempsey giving up lots of size here

Grant was good but Dempsey was - at his best - better.

Do we think that just because a fighter is a lot smaller from a long time ago that somehow the bigger less talented modern day fighter is always a match ?

Size can make up for skill in some instances. And, he was good enough to beat Golota. Not exactly an ATG win, but Golota was better than many of the men Dempsey beat. Arguably better than Jess Willard.

Dempsey wouldn't give Grant time to breath .It would be a repeat of the Willard massacre but Grant doesn't see the 3 rd .

I doubt it. Say what you want, but Grant's win over Golota rivals about any win on Dempsey's resume. And it's not so far fetched that with Grant' s size, he could give Dempsey a good tussle, even in defeat.

Golota was a mental wreck. Look, grant sucked. He has a glass jaw, he has weak skills, he didn’t move well, he didn’t jab well, he had horrible defense.....

Dempsey would charge right in, get underneath and rip a fight ending combination to grants glass jaw

    Dempsey KO 1

The other thing folks forget with these big guys is that defensively they are a big big target and have a lot of area to cover. Too much to cover. Guys like Grant literally get hit by the kitchen sink. And, worse, he's flat footed. So how many of Dempsey's punches hit air against a guy right in front of him and provides such a huge target?

A very quick starter vs a very slow starter with bad punch resistance. Dempsey by early KO

    These are fair points
Yet the misuse of the word "literally" grates
If you make a special point of using the word that means you are insisting that it is not a metaphor
So Grant would have to actually have at least one kitchen sink strike him in a formal boxing match for your claim to be true>

Dempsey by brutal knockout within 3 rounds

Looks like at least Dempsey is immune to the Super Heavyweight bull****
