Why blame Povetkin for PEDS when all top athletes take them?

Joshua, Fury and Wilder are all taking some PEDS. Not neccessary on fight night, but they sure do in the training camp. There are a lot of PEDS that boost their workouts and they can do their workouts 100% without feeling pain. Also they use PEDS that boost their recovery from training and PEDs that increase muscle mass, or help with weight loss.

PEDS are huge among pro athletes so don't blame Povetkin.

Big difference between getting accused of taking them and actually getting busted for it. Evidence matters.

He isn't a proven cheat like people say. The people that say this never bothered to look up the details surrounding what happened. That's what people do now. Research is so hard lol.

You provide the indisputable proof that the fighters you mention are taking banned PEDs, then come back and ask the question again.

Alright so, first you need to look up why meldonium is banned in the first place. I figure you can just google "Reason for WADA Meldonium ban" then you have to look into meldonium and the effects of it. Then you have to understand how the banning process works under WADA protocol which is easily found on their website. I would also recommend understanding how these things are detected since that is important since people use the argument of "It was detected in Povetkin's body on a date after he passed a test which proves he was using it at the time". All of that would cover meldonium.

For Ostarine, which is an actual PED, you'd just have to look into the UCLA's lab mishandling of the case and what other labs found (or didn't find) when they tested Povetkin.

Sorry for just suggesting what you should google instead of providing links. I just don't feel like looking this up again and also this way I can't be accused of providing biased sources. If you have further questions I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

The very, very tiny concentration of meldonium in Povetkin’s blood in early 2017 was well within the allowed limits.

According to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s standards, concentration of meldonium within a span of 1 to 15 micrograms is virtually acceptable for the probes, made from January 1st till March the 1st of this year, while probes with traces of meldonium, performed since March 1st, can be detected as positive for a quantity exceeding a limit of 1 microgram. Povetkin’s concentration was 70 nanograms = 0.07 of a microgram.

Meldonium, which is NOT a steroid, was commonly used amongst athletes in Eastern Europe, but was placed on the banned list by WADA as of Jan 1, 2016. In prescription form, the substance is used as an anti-ischemia medication, used to improve blood flow.

Also even if most of them are you still should not be lenient on proven drug cheats.

That mode of thinking is very dangerous. Once you abandon the idea of withholding belief until claims have been backed up by evidence then you're liable to believe anything that fits into the particular prejudices you're exposed to.

Think of how that kind of thinking is applied, with disastrous effects, in other areas of life... It's a corrosive and damaging failure of reason.
