Seems to me that a lot of people on here don't like when Boxers open their mouths to trash talk in order to sell themselves. But then when a fighter doesn't say anything, people complain that they're boring and need to be more exciting.

I've seen so many babies crying their little eyes out about how they don't like x y because they talk too much.

Obviously if a fighter can't back up their talk then criticism is warranted. But if a fighter is winning and doing what he says on the tin, then why the hate?

Me personally I prefer someone loud who are themselves than a silent phony who holds their tongue because they want to portray a fake good guy image. I believe there are natural introverts who are you smiling assassins who really don't have much to say, such as GGG, Danny Garcia, Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubios, Errol Spence Tank Davis and a few others.

However you get individuals such as Crawford, Andre Ward, Anthony Jenner and Manny Pacquiao who are very opinionated individuals who you know have a lot to say but pretend they are above speaking their mind

And when they do speak they come across as bitchy women making sly digs at their opponents instead of being brutally honest and saying what they really feel.

For example after the Horn loss, Manny was clearly frustrated with the decision and instead of expressing himself he states that it was the decision of the judges which he respects. Teddy Atlas then has to step in and talk for Manny in which he tells Horn that he thought he lost and Manny sheepishly nods and smiles when only moments later he was acting as if he was happy with the result.

If they can prove their worth inside the ring, that is all that matters.

I prefer Anthony Joshua, to Deontay Wilder. Somewhere, hidden in that cryptic post is a Joshua/Wilder message.

The Rock will sign all those letter champions into the Smackdown Hotel.

Love a good trash talker. Not against the silent killer either. But trash talking is the preference.

Yes I know what you mean,Parker springs to mind as this nice guy but he takes it too far with all that “the best man won”BS.
Re Golovkin it’s been so obvious that to sell him to the public he had to play the nice guy and now at the end he doesn’t give a ****.When asked by reporters if he was worried about Vanes health after knocking him out he replied “seriously don’t ask me that guys”I’m doing my job.

Silent killer, not a big fan of loudmouths. Even when I'm a fan, it's mostly because of boxing style or some other reasons. I don't actually enjoy the trash talking aspect and could do away with it entirely.

Something in between. A guy with some intensity is cool as long as he doesn't get cheap. Subtle digs are always more impactful too. When a guy makes a subtle dig at another fighter's performance it shows me he did his homework and is getting into the other guy's head. Those kinds of disses are "juicier" to me, so to speak, because they allude to things that are actually going to matter on fight night. Thurman, Ward, Golovkin when up for it, Cotto when up for it. They don't necessarily get super loud and threaten visceral things but they know how to hit the right spot and make an intelligent insult.

It all boils down to which fighter you like/support and the character of that fighter.

Trash talk of course and it should be as crazy and brutal as it gets, i don't mind a little bit getting personal here and there just for the fun of it but there are levels to it, some guys can do it really good and other guys are just boring and predictable. Remember bad blood fights are the best fights.

I can appreciate a degree of trash talking when it's witty and done in good taste but more often than not what we see isn't as much trash talking as it is verbal abuse (and this I tend to perceive as being indicative of hidden insecurity on part of the one dishing it out.)

Personally I'm drawn towards humble boxers who do their trash talking inside the ring using their fists.
