Ward retired to avoid the inevitable bludgeoning at the hands of Artur B.

Does Calzaghe have a chance here? Can his damaged hands put a dent in the Beterbiev juggernaut?

Was his Joe's chin any better than Prieto's?

Unbeatable as Joe is, this one wont be easy

    Who wins and how?

Beterbiev would be violently Lacy'd. Beterbiev is far too one dimensional for Joe.

Zaggers slips Beterbievs slashing right hand with emphatic style. Unfortunately for slappy fans, Beterbiev packs so much power his punches that they push so much air so quickly causing the slipped punch to fractures zigzags orbital bone. But being the warrior that Calzone is he fights through his injury putting the technical portion of the fight at a dead even matchup where they both fight to a draw on all 3 scorecards.

Are we talking about a hypothetical Joe at both his peak and 175 or the older version of Joe who actually fought at 175?

The former sticks, moves, and wins a comfortable decision.

The latter slaps his way to a much closer one, but could conceivably suffer a knockdown or two along the way. Joe didn't face anyone with power at 175 and even shot RJJ was able to briefly put him down.

Slappy wouldn't get within 50 feet of a ring with Beterbiev in it LOL Heck he tried to duck out of the Lacy fight "injured": but Enzo made him fight

Wow, it’s hard to imagine these guys in the same division. Beterbiev obviously pulverizes Calzaghe.

Beterbiev actually is the monster that Lacy was mistakenly made out to be. Additionally Lacy was a muscled up middleweight while Beterbiev is a slimmed down cruiserweight.

Beterbiev wins by KO. If Hopkins is dropping Calzaghe, and buckling him multiple times, Beterbiev puts the lights out when he lands flush.

It wasn't difficult to drop Calzaghe.....
Dropping someone doesn't necessarily mean you've hurt them.

I agree that dropping someone doesn't necessarily mean you've hurt them. The shot that Hopkins dropped Calzaghe with clearly jolted his chin and head sharply though before Calzaghe's legs got weakened. Calzaghe seemed more hurt from the right hand later in the fight that put him on ***** street at the end of the round.

To win a round against Prime Calzaghe you pretty much have to drop him.

For someone as one dimensional as Beterbiev, he needs a KO.
