    Yeah. I guess I'm saying there's a high chance that C) happens.

    C) he drops the title, and then does whatever he wants.

I'm quite fine with it, frankly speaking... But, again, if they plan it, why would they procrastinate now? Stevenson doesn't have much time left for his boxing career. It is in his interest to decide quickly. Also, who would he fight? Rematch Badou Jack but without the title on the line, hmm...? Tony Bellew should fight Usyk. Ward's talks about the possible comeback are just talks.

I think Stevenson's camp has delayed the fight (it should have been in November or even earlier — initially in October, if I'm not mistaken) because they need time to prepare well for the Gvozdyk fight and be 100% ready. Stevenson is old, and two intense fights in one year is quite a lot.

I think if Usyk hadn't called out Bellew we would have seen Chickenson v Bellew 2 in a cash out fight.

If Arum won the purse bid Stevenson's promoter Michel could well say he doesn't want the fight, and drop the title. But Michel won the purse bid. When does a promoter win a purse bid and not stage the bout? Stevenson's status as a headliner and good purses depend on being promoted as champion. This will be a good payday for him, and the risk of giving up on it will be more than the risk of a loss.

I'm not naive about Stevenson's history of avoiding tough defences, but I think Stevenson-Gvozdyk will definitely go ahead as planned.

His opponent was not impressive but the way Gvozdyk fought him was.

there's the possibility that Arum says "we will not fight on showtime" "we will not fight in Canada" if that's the case and seeing that Stevenson promoter won the bid, then the fight could be called off.

Kovalevs promoter wouldn't fight off hbo. which was seen as a "duck" by Stevenson for his promoter wanting the fight both in Canada and on showtime.

there was no rematch clause for Jack, probably has one for Stevenson. I find it surprising that people think Stevenson lost when he won the first half of the fight in a shutout. when kovalev does bad in the last half it's a robbery.

This. Jack in both the Degale and Stevenson fight literally threw away 6-7 rounds. Jack was lucky to get a draw in both fights. If Floyd wasn't his promoter he'd have two losses.

Gvozdyk should have this, but like many have said, Stevenson will be dangerous throughout.

Well Boxrec already had Gvozdyk as the WBC LHW champ, and if you check Stevenson's page he isn't labeled as WBC LHW champ anymore. What's up with that. does anyone know? Did the WBC strip Stevenson and promote Gvozdyk as champ?

    No, it's just boxrec's oddities.
