Well before posting I must admit that I had to think about whether it was actually a straight right without any loop!
Me not being as knowledgable as most on here regarding the techniques of the game I was a bit hesitant in case someone instantly shot me down!
I think however that if anyone could be considered as possessing a straight right it was Johansson.
You’re spot regarding the referee on the Machen fight, that was some of the worst refereeing i’ve ever seen.
He showed no concern for Machen whatsoever.

I would also say Hearn probably had the full package. Technique, power, speed, explosiveness. Arguably Louis too but he wasn't an explosive fighter in the same sense as Tyson for example. His style wasn't explosive although his right hand was.

Louis and Hearns are more overhand rights to me. Lopez, Arguello and Wlad are the first guys that come to mind in terms of straight rights down the pipe with KO power. Ali threw as nice a right (especially lead right) as any HW, but without the devastating power.

That's right, i just listed the things that come to my mind first when thinking about the right hands of each fighter
in my list and with Hearns i always think about his power and explosiveness first but he also had good technique.

With Arguello i think his right hand was so well rounded that no attribute stands above others, he had power, speed, explosiveness and technique to the same degree.
